OAA is the oldest, private orthopedic practice in the Lehigh Valley area dating back to 1970. OAA’s reputation for cutting edge excellence began with our Founder, Dr. Peter Keblish, and his innovative change in the treatment of orthopedics in the region. Dr. Peter Keblish excelled as an internationally recognized orthopedic surgeon, specializing in hip and knee replacements. He is known as one of the major contributors to the development of mobile-bearing total knee arthroplasty (otherwise known as total knee replacement), and in 1971, performed the first total joint procedure in the Lehigh Valley. Due to Dr. Keblish’s high standards of orthopedics, OAA is now known for our musculoskeletal specialties, exceptional providers, and unmatched patient care.

OAA started in 1970 at 17th and Chew Street in Allentown and was led by founder, Dr. Peter Keblish and his founding partner, Dr. Clifford G. Vernick. Since then, our practice has grown geographically, offering locations in Allentown, Bethlehem, Lehighton, and New Tripoli. Although we have grown, OAA has maintained our reputation of excellent orthopedic care and continued to build personable relationships with each and every one of our patients.
